2015 Jeep JK 2-Door Softtop Leaking at Back Door Driver Side — Expert Fix

Quick answer: A 2015 Jeep JK 2-Door Softtop leaking at the Back Door Driver Side in All of the Above is almost never a bad door seal - it is the missing body-side weatherstripping Jeep left off the body, so the door seal has nothing to compress against. The permanent fix is adding body-side weatherstripping for the JK; most owners install it themselves in under an hour with no special tools.

Hello Susan,
I understand why you’d think that since the leak is only showing up at the
front upper corner of both doors. However, using “noodles” in just those
two spots typically won’t solve the issue.

What you’re seeing there is just where the water is making its way in, not
necessarily the full path it’s taking. The root of the problem is how water
runs along the roofline and down into the door opening when there’s nothing
in place to properly redirect it.
That’s why I recommend using our Jeep Drip Strips instead. They’re designed
to manage that water at the source and keep it from entering in the first
place, rather than trying to block it after the fact.
If you want, I can help you choose the right setup for your Jeep.
Best regards,
Tony
