Hello Kevin,
This is a very common issue with Jeep Wrangler models and something many
owners experience after visiting the dealership. Dealers often recommend
replacing components like door seals, header gaskets, or other
weatherstripping, only to find that the problem persists.
The real issue is that these vehicles lack a proper body-side sealing
surface for the door to fully compress against. As a result, water can
enter between the body and the door seal. This isn’t a one-off defect—it’s
a design limitation that affects all Wranglers, so your vehicle isn’t an
exception.
To properly address the problem, I recommend installing a body-side seal on
your Jeep JK. I’ll include a link to the specific solution I suggest to
resolve the issue.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Regards,
Tony
