2024 Jeep JL 4-Door Sky One-Touch Leaking at Not Sure — Expert Fix

Based on where you're seeing the water on your 2024 JL Sky One-Touch, this
sounds consistent with water getting past the upper driver-side sealing
area near the windshield/A-pillar and then traveling behind the interior
trim. The fact that you previously only saw a few drops, but experienced
significantly more water when the Jeep was parked nose-down during heavy
rain, is especially helpful. The angle of the vehicle can change how water
travels and where it ultimately enters the cabin.

The root cause commonly comes down to the factory sealing design. Unlike
most vehicles on the road today, Jeep Wranglers do not have a proper
body-side sealing surface around the doors. Instead, the factory door seals
are trying to compress directly against painted metal. Since painted metal
isn't a consistent sealing surface, small gaps can allow water to get
behind the upper seal and travel along the A-pillar/windshield area.

This can make the actual entry point difficult to identify because the
place where you see the water dripping isn't necessarily where the water
first entered.

Our body-side weatherstripping creates the sealing surface that the factory
design is missing. It gives the existing door seals a consistent gasketed
surface to compress against, closing those small gaps and helping prevent
water from entering and traveling behind the trim. The system also helps
reduce outside wind and road noise.

For your Sky One-Touch, you would select the Hardtop version of our JL kit.
There are no removable Freedom Panels on the Sky One-Touch, so there are no
Freedom Panel seals to install. The important part for the leak you're
describing is properly sealing the door/body area.

From your description, I would address the upper driver-side door/body
sealing area before assuming that the windshield itself is leaking. Water
can travel quite a distance behind the trim before becoming visible at the
sensor cover or dashboard.
