2018 Jeep JK 4-Door Softtop Leaking at Passenger Door — Expert Fix

Quick answer: A 2018 Jeep JK 4-Door Softtop leaking at the Passenger Door in All of the Above is almost never a bad door seal - it is the missing body-side weatherstripping Jeep left off the body, so the door seal has nothing to compress against. The permanent fix is adding body-side weatherstripping for the JK; most owners install it themselves in under an hour with no special tools.

Hello Mike,

Water leaks on the passenger side are very common on soft top Wranglers,
especially during heavy rain or when water runs along the top and door
surround areas.

Most owners are unaware that the Wrangler does not have a proper body-side
weatherstripping from the factory. The door seal closes against painted
metal instead of a dedicated body seal, which allows water to make its way
inside and eventually soak the passenger floor area.

With soft tops, the issue can become even more noticeable because water can
travel along the upper seals and work its way down behind the trim and
carpet before you ever see an actual drip.

We recommend adding a proper body-side weatherstripping kit to seal that
gap and stop the water intrusion at the source.

Here is the link to the specific kit that will solve your problem.
